| This birdhouse is made of 1/2 exterior plywood, western red cedar and ponderosa pine. This combination makes a unique aged looking piece. Plywood is used for large sections because it is more stable than solid wood. Solid wood on large sections has a tendency to split all the way through. Cedar and pine are used for trim pieces, accents and some construction detail. |
